This section of the website is developed for midwives. You will find information about the New Zealand College of Midwives, the professional body for midwives in New Zealand.

The Midwifery Council is the regulatory authority for midwives. See the page on regulation of midwifery or the Councils website for more information about the Midwifery Council.

Under the section About The College is information about Joining the College, the philosophy, code of ethics and standards of practice that underpin midwifery practice in New Zealand. There is also information about how the College is structured, its roles and functions and its relationships with associated organisations such as the MMPO, MERAS and the Joan Donley Midwifery Research Collaboration.
